My Ability to Adapt
Last semester, my laptop broke three days before finals week. I had all my notes, study guides, and half-finished papers on there, and the repair shop said it would take two weeks to get my files back.
I ended up borrowing my sisters old tablet, rewriting my notes from memory and photos I’d taken throughout the semester, and finishing my final papers using the library computers during weird hours when they weren’t packed. I had to completely change how I studied, using physical flashcards instead of digital ones and actually printing things out.
It was stressful, but I managed to keep my GPA intact. More importantly, I learned I can handle unexpected problems without completely falling apart. Now I always back up my files and I’m less anxious when plans change suddenly.
